Lill Anita Olsen is from Lofoten and she is "Artist in Residence" at Kvitbrakka.

When painting became inaccessible to her due to illness, she looked for a new medium to express herself.

Through embroidery, she intended to transport the many facets of man into the series «Innerbody blues»

Today she works with a series of embroideries with the working title of "Deep dive in the mind".

In her talk she will present some of her embroidery works from "The inherent power of the mind" which is strongly influenced by the history of Berlevåg.

She will also show the results from the light-boxes project that she carried out with 1-5 class students from Berlevåg primary school.

Morten Løberg

Fra Instamatic til nå

Havblikk kafé og pub

Samfunnsgata 10, 9980 Berlevåg

Oslo based photographer Morten Løberg will talk about his 50 year long career as a photographer and visual artist.

«From Instamatic until Now» is a lecture by photographer Morten M. Løberg, where he talks about and shows work from a more than 50 year long career as a photographer and visual artist.

Morten M. Løberg started his career in his local photo club in the 1960s, and over the years his work have changed and become more personal in an artistic way. He is known for his minimalist style, and is «Norwegian photography's most accomplished minimalist» according to art critic Lars Elton. Løberg mainly works with landscape and nature, in different photographic techniques.

«From Instamatic until Now» is a story about personal development as a photographer and visual artist, from the early attempts as an amateur photographer – with a then modern Kodak Instamatic box camera – to large art exhibitions and representations on the annual State Art Exhibition. We are also talking about 50 years with many different experiences, so there will also be room for the occasional illustrative and relevant story.

Løberg is considered a master of traditional darkroom work, and he is still working with conventional film as with a digital camera.
